Daddy’s Perfect Grilled Steak‏

Never to early to learn, Mark passes on the grilling techniques to William.

Since the weather has been so summer-like, this steak gem needs to be shared. When I asked my husband, Mark, if I could spotlight him on the blog this week, he was very excited to share his secret to the perfect grilled steak.

Mark’s Perfect Grilled Steak
Sirloin (however, you can use skirt steak if you cook it carefully)
1/4 cup of olive oil to coat steaks
1 TBS of sea salt on each side
1 TBS of pepper on each side
  1. Rub the steak with olive oil and then rub the sea salt and pepper mixture to coat the steak. Leave mixture on steak for at least an hour in the fridge.
  2. Heat grill to 400 degrees.
  3. Put steak on. With the grill cover on, grill for 60 seconds to sear and then flip to sear the outside of the steak.
  4. If you like your steak medium, it takes about 15 minutes.
Enjoy Mark’s Steak! I may be biased, but it is better than any restaurant in my opinion!
