Many moms are combining working and breastfeeding. This often means mom needs to pump several times during her working hours.
Open communication with the employer about her needs will help to make pumping at work easier. Our Breastfeeding Lifestyle class discusses the issues involved in pumping at work, including making a plan and discussions with employers and co-workers.
Here is a map from Mothering Magazine that shows state by state, how mothers are protected.
This site also gives you a quick overview of the laws that support time for pumping in the work place.
Visit classes.beaumont.edu for more information on our Breastfeeding Lifestyle class. Upcoming dates include March 16, April 1, and May 8.
